Insurance Valuations

Coram James provides valuation reports of art, antiques and other possessions to ensure all your belongings are fully covered and that you are paying the correct levels of premium.

It is important to have an up-to-date valuation of your contents and valuables to ensure you are fully covered in the event of a claim. Being underinsured means that should a claim be made, any pay out will not cover the total value of the items lost or damaged. If your valuables have been over valued, you could be paying too much in premium and should the worst happen it could result in a disputed claim.

Many specialist art and antique underwriters offer lower premiums with High Net Worth schemes and we provide discounts on our fees to many of these leading insurers.

We are approved valuers for many major high net worth insurers and as a RICS certified company our valuations are accepted by all insurance companies and brokers. We are approved valuers for the following firms:

INSURANCE COMPANIES

INSURANCE BROKERS

Full Insurance Valuation

We provide a Full Insurance Valuation service to ensure all your valuable personal possessions are sufficiently insured.

One of our art and antique valuers will visit the property to compile a detailed insurance inventory of your art, antiques and other valuables. Our valuation reports are fully illustrated and list your art, antiques, jewellery and general contents on a room by room basis.

All valuation documents are supplied with photographs and fully bound in hard copy as well as provided in PDF format on a USB stick.

FEES

Our fees are charged by the hour and do not relate to the value of the property. Please contact us for more information on: 020 7837 8115 or email info@coramjames.com.

Walk Through Validation Service

We also provide a Walk Through Validation service for clients who do not require a Full Insurance Valuation.

One of our valuers will visit the property in order to provide a report on a room by room basis. The report will contain a breakdown of categories and an overall value supplied for each category.

A bound hard copy of the valuation is provided as well as a copy in PDF format.

This service is carried out for a competitive fixed fee which is agreed in advance.

Post-Loss / Damage Reports

We provide specialist valuation reports of art, antiques, jewellery and other valuable possessions following loss, damage or theft.

We work closely with insurers, loss-adjusters and solicitors to provide forensic valuation reports which are used to calculate the intrinsic loss of value of valuable possessions.
